Surface type
1.meniscus (concave) surface
When FRP gratings get dry in the mould, the surface will shrink and form a natural meniscus shape. It’s qualified for ordinary anti-slip application.
2.gritted surface
Gritted top is made by sticking quartz grit or corundum to FRP grating surface. The grits provide an even better anti-slip effect. It’s usually used for chemical platform, walkway, trench cover, etc.
3.smooth surface
Smooth surface gratings are not anti-slip. It’s not suitable for pedestrian walk but keeps the features of anti-corrosion, high strength-to-weight ratio, fire retardancy, etc. Smooth surface is usually used for shelf, fencing and architecture.
4.micromesh
Micromesh gratings are easy for trolley or wheelchair to go over. Its small opening prevents small tools or other objects from penetrating drops. It’s qualified by testing of 15mm diameter ball drop. The most often use is drain cover, offshore platform, semiconductor and communication area and computer room.
5.anti-static grating
The surface of anti-static grating is made by adding carbon powder, which brings great conductive property and prevent the surface from sparkling generated by static.
6.translucent grating
Translucent gratings are made in special recipe, with good transmission and excellent anti-corrosion property. It’s used most often in architecture field and sometimes used as fencing, rack, etc.
7.covered grating
The covered grating is produced by sticking an FRP grating to a FRP flat sheet before it getting dry. The surface can be flat, gritted or checkered. The top sheet is usually in 3mm or customerized. Covered grating is usually used on closed areas like water treatment equipment, to prevent corrosive or smelly gas from releasing. Covered grating with gritted surface can be used as rampway, entrance cover or trench cover.
